Environmental Impact Statements
Some environmental impact statements (EISs) are available in print or microfiche format in the libraries and some are available in electronic format on the Web.
Environmental Impact Statements
Defined
An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) analyzes the environmental impacts of
a proposed action and its alternatives, and displays them in a report for
consideration by the decision makers in deciding which alternative (if any)

Environmental Impact Statements in the UNR Libraries
Most of the recent EISs in the libraries are
listed in the online catalog. The catalog record provides a call number
and location in one of the libraries:
- Business & Government Information Center (Getchell Library, 2nd floor)
- Life and Health Sciences Library (Documents area)
- DeLaMare Library (top floor, Documents area)
Those designated as "Microform" will be in microfiche cabinets; the others will be on shelves in the documents areas. A few will be shelved in the general collection.
For help in identifying or locating a specific EIS or finding older, uncataloged EISs in the libraries, stop by the Reference Desk in Getchell Library or the Service Desks in DeLaMare Library or the Life and Health Sciences Library. E-mail or chat assistance is also available.
