About DeLaMare Library

General Information

The DeLaMare Library at the University of Nevada, Reno is located in the Mackay Mines Building at the north end of the Quad. On four floors, it houses library materials in the fields of earth sciences, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, geological, mechanical, metallurgical, and mining engineering; chemistry, physics and computer science.

We currently have approximately 1200 active journal subscriptions and 100,000 volumes of monographs, bound journals, and government documents in these subject areas. Over 140,000 maps are housed in the Mary B. Ansari Map Library on the 2nd floor. There are 26 computer workstations located throughout the public areas of the DeLaMare Library.
