`The Truckee River and The Donner Experience’

Saturday, November 11, 2000, tour of Truckee river corridor and Donner State Park.
Gather at 9am and depart shortly from the University Inn, 1001, N. Virginia Street,
Reno. Return by 5pm.

Proceed along the Truckee River corridor with geologic leadership of Prof. Joe Lintz,
Emeritus, leader of the GIS field trip in 1984! Ranger led introduction to Donner Park,
site of the Donner Tragedy with museum highlighting the building of the Transcontinental
railroad across the Sierra; lunch and free time to wonder; return by way of historic town
of Truckee.

Modern, fully equipped motor coach. A  Donner Party Box Lunch included. Bring your
camera. Dress in warm layers in order not to repeat the full Donner Experience!
Maximum of 40, minimum of 25. Please register through WAML registration or below if
not attending the WAML program.
$26.00 per person includes transportation, field trip booklet, entrance into park,
lunch and snacks.
